Welcome to the 562nd Spouses’ Club! This website was created solely for you, a 562nd spouse. San Antonio is a dynamic and exciting place that has something for everyone. We hope you have a chance to explore and enjoy all the city has to offer.
You are welcome at all 562nd Spouses’ Club events as a guest or as a member. There are lots of things that go on throughout the year, both within your spouse’s class and flight, and for the squadron as a whole. It’s all about fun and friendship, because everyone knows military spouses need all they can get of both! We hope you’ll check out our Calendar of Events link to see what is scheduled for the coming month and plan to come get to know us.
If you’re a student spouse, CSO will be a challenge for your spouse and for you too. The support system created this year will help you both – now and throughout his or her career. We want to keep you company, answer your questions and do whatever we can to make this an assignment you remember happily. If you’re a permanent party spouse, then we encourage your participation with the group as well – not only do you understand the important role spouses’ groups play in any military organization, your wealth of information is almost certain to have a positive impact on one of our spouses who is new to military family life. Our Welcome Committee members want to meet you and hope you’ll call or e-mail if they’ve missed contacting you first. If you want to be added to the email list for event reminders, please contact Polly to be added to the list!
The Club’s primary social activities are the “socials,” which are held the third Tuesday of each month, and our Bunco group, which meets the first Thursday of each month. In addition, the squadron and the spouses’ club join forces throughout the year to organize a variety of activities – both for the entire family as well as just for the adults. In addition to social activities, the spouses group is committed to service activities in the community. The spouses group has voted to contribute to the Fisher House which supports, "America's military in their time of need, we provide "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury." Every 3 months we prepare meals for the families that are staying there while love ones recover from serious illness or injury.
We’re so glad you’re here and hope you are too!
